  Was There ANYTHING Positive That You Experienced Because of Being a JW?

  I had to give up smoking to join so that was a positive.

  Without that false sense of security of a sky daddy looking after me I would never have left UK with 2 children to live in Spain.

  Hope deferred

  proverbs 13:12 "hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

  i have heard this before from dave ramesy about finances and how if you can never see an end in sight to get out of debt, if you always are making nothing to live on and getting nowhere with no hope of it ever changing, you just give up.

  thank god's it's friday and oh god it's monday breaks your spirit.. i was reading this book by henry cloud and he expounds on this and says "there are few sicknesses of the heart like hope deferred.

  This scripture was the Day's Text as I was starting to wake up and I remember thinking how sick I was of waiting for armageddon. 2 years later I was out. :)

  Black Mirror TV Series

  if you're looking for something new to watch, i can really recommend this show.

  it's on netflix and there is a new series starting soon.

  don't let "series" put you off - they are only 3 or 6 episodes long.. how to describe it?.

  The social.media rating one is a bit too close to the bone. Can easily see this becoming a reality no matter how much Teresa May bangs on about an equalising in society it is not going to happen. The rich will not give up their wealth and a huge swathe of British society has 2 people in full time work but still don't earn enough to rent a house and will never ever be able to buy. A child will make them eligible for benefits as their pay is too low to afford one so I can easily see a "social rating" determining where you live, how you can travel and keeping you within a peer group of people with a similar score.

  Black Mirror White Christmas

  there is an episode called white christmas.

  its based in the future and everyone has this app in their brain similar to a modern smartphone.

  DEATH: How have you prepared? Funeral, cremation, donate body to Science?

  well, hell!.

  i had dizzy spells and near-fainting and nausea for a few days, so why wouldn't i start thinking about death, ya know?.

  am i just very lax in my responsibilities in having no plans at all?isn't that irresponsible?

  Mouthy has Passed Away

  update on mouthy (grace gough)this is graces granddaughter.

  i wanted to send an update that today my beautiful grandmother passed away - surrounded by friends and family.

  - may 22 1927 - sept 2nd 2016. mouthys_granddaughter.

  Sad news indeed. My condolences to all her family. She was a wonderful lady. I never met her in person but always enjoyed her posts. She will be very sadly missed.

  Headaches vs. Migraines

  a while back a coworker was telling me she had a migraine in the morning and had to take some aspirin before coming to work.

  i was like, "yeah, that wasn't a migraine dear.

  that was just a headache.

  Coded Logic that is the exact description of my migraines. Lying down in a dark room motionless is the only option and even when the migraine has gone I could feel fragile for a further couple of days.

  I used to get them a lot when I was younger and they were hormone related but now as a "mature" woman past child bearing age they have thankfully stopped. They were completely debilitating though but if someone can take an aspirin and it leave in 20 minutes that wasn't the kind of migraine familiar to me and I am thankful that person is recovered and not experiencing what I did.
